Serving Our Community (S.O.C.)

The S.O.C. Team (Serving Our Community) exists to minister to the community, demonstrate God’s love to visitors, and to encourage our church family to bring glory to God and build up His Kingdom.

You can join us in making a difference in our community. We are always looking for people interested in expressing God’s love to our neighbors.

Homework Club & Wilson Elementary Partnership—Every Tuesday after school, a group of students from Wilson Elementary are picked up and brought to our church for about an hour and a half. They start with a snack time after their long day of school, then they go into time to work on homework with tutors eager to give them one on one attention, and they usually have time to enjoy a group game to close. We are also partnering with Wilson Elementary to host an all day Kindness Retreat for their students and organizing summer programs for our neighbors over at Sunny Acres and Lincoln Estates. Please contact the Homework Club Coordinator, Tammy Roemer,  or Youth Pastor/Children’s Director, Phil Roemer, if you are interested in volunteering your time to serve or if you have some supplies that you’d like to donate towards these programs.
