On October 31, 1517 Martin Luther published 95 theses (criticisms) of the Catholic Church practice of selling indulgences. Although he intended to reform Catholicism, not break it apart, he accomplished both. On the 500th anniversary of his act of conscientious defiance, it is important to review how that moment changed the world religiously, economically, politically, socially, and intellectually. The upheaval stretched into every fabric of society, exceeding anything Martin Luther could anticipate. So widespread of an effect proclaims God’s hand was involved. To learn more about this important event, check out the short video below.

In honor of the day, Pastor Steve posted copies of all 95 theses to the door of ACC for people to read as they walked into church.

Are you a Lutheran Church? I noticed references about Martin Luther above. Prayers needed! We love Spiritual songs (if the drums aren't too loud), but we also enjoy classic hymns to worship our LORD. So many Christian churches have either spiritual songs or hymns? Why not both? We believe in the justification of infant baptism. Most churches do not accept our infant baptism. We do not speak in unknown tongues, this freaks my husband out. 1 Cor. 14:23 I believe we can edify ourselves with mysteries tongues. 1 Cor. 14:2 We do believe the Holy Spirit (Pentecost) as come on all flesh... Yes, we are sinners! But, we believe all Christians who confess Jesus as LORD, should be welcome in fellowship/communion. (Unless, there's no repentance?). We've been at the same church for over 25 years. But now, it's more about following Luther's traditions. Please pray for us that God finds us a church who's preaching/teachings is about Scripture alone! Your church has been recommended to us by three different groups.
